Why is ProSeries treating "D" Market Discount" as additional capital gain instead of ordinary income or interest?

Form 1099-B worksheet is adding "D" Market Discount to LTCG instead of showing it as ordinary income or or interest income. I am confused.

I see it come up as a negative adjustment and lowers the gains on the sale.

This was an entry of 10k gross proceeds with 1500 basis and Accrued market discount of 5k....
