Why does 1040X output not agree with what is on the screen?
I prepared a 1040X that shows a refund of $2,077. The 1040X on screen shows Line 20 (amount owed) as blank, line 21 (amount overpaid) as $2,077, and line 22 (amount to be refunded) as $2,077. However, when I print the form (paper or PDF), line 20 shows $2,077, line 21 shows $2,077, and line 22 is blank. How does the input not match the output?
