Why do I get the error, “None of the returns for the selected client are eligible for eSignature” when requesting an eSignature for a Form 1040 extension request?
Having a couple of issues with eSignatures. This is my first year using them. First, ProSeries isn't allowing me to request one for the 1040 extension request. I've error checked the returns. I received an error on the state return directing me to de-select the option to e-file that return until the federal 4868 had been filed, so I did that.
Also, I've had a couple of clients that are having issues with the DocuSign verification process and haven't been able to access the files to sign. For one client, DocuSign apparently didn't like the address she was entering, although she seems to have been entering it exactly how I had it in ProSeries. Is there some way to turn off or simplify (i.e.: with a code I provide them) the verification process?
