WHY DO I CAN NOT 2 FORM 568 LLC IN ONE FORM 1040

    I make a copy of the return and use the copy for the second 568 only.  Uncheck the other EF boxes on the copy, leaving only the CA 568 EF box checked, and you wont get any error message in the EFCenter.

    This is how I have done it in the past as well but I am trying it for the first time this year and getting an error message stating that the SSN EIN is duplicated and it cant get past the initial e-file transmission errors in Proseries.

    double check which ones you have marked to EF.

    One return needs the 1040 and 540 and one of the 568s, the other only needs the other 568 marked for EF....

    Do both LLCs have their own EIN?
