Question

Why can I not see a confirmation number on the filing of my client's tax return?

I used to be able to get a confirmation number on filing returns with the dates that this happened.  I can't seem to find this any more.

Highlight the file in the EF Homebased screen, then hit F12 and you should see all the Efiling reports available to you, pretty much any of them will include the submission number..

If its a 1040, you can open the client file and the Form 9325 should have the submission ID for you as well.
