I have the renewal letter from the IRS for tax year 2026. I also have the PTIN renewal application for 2026. But yet Intuit is asking me to provide a PTIN tracking number which they say can be found on my online IRS account. I don't see it. This number is not shown on the application. Please help me find it.
I think youre asking about an EFIN, not a PTIN. You need to upload the Application Summary from your EFIN account in order for Intuit to update your Electronic Filing Information.
Maybe the person you spoke with was saying the wrong letters, but Ive never heard of a PTIN tracking number (the EFIN application does have a tracking number though) or having to provide anything to Intuit about our PTINs, only EFINS
