Question

Where do I enter home office deduction for a partner? They both work out of their homes in 2 separate states. I see where to enter the other unreimbursed expenses.

The K-1 worksheet on the 1040 should have a button for UPE (unreimbursed partner expenses).

Look below Line 20.

EDIT:  Youre right, I dont see a place to link to the 8829 in the UPE worksheet.

For this situation, I have used the UPE and deducted $ 5.00 a square feet, up to maximum of 300 square feet and labeled it home office expense.

ok that sounds good.  I knew there had to be a way to take the deduction, just now sure how.

Thank you.

If you use the simplified method ($5 x limit of 300 sf max), make sure you know what is and isn't already included in that amount:

You want to avoid double-dipping those specific expenses.
