Question

Trying to complete form 8936 for an Electric Vehicle Credit and the program will not accept my client's VIN in Part IV. Anyone else having this problem, or a solution?

Are you sure the vehicle qualifies?  You may want to check the list of qualifying vehicles.

or are you sure you didnt mistake a number 1 for an uppercase letter i or something like that?

    My problem is the opposite.  Based on the VIN, Lacerte is allowing a credit for a Lexus NX acquired Nov. 2022 with final assembly in Japan.  My research shows this vehicle should NOT qualify.
