Treatment of legal fees in a lawsuit for money owed to my client by his employer
My client, a professor, is suing his employer, a university. His lawyer thinks the university will settle the suit before trial date. If he wins the suit, the university likely will cover his legal fees. But if he loses, can I deduct legal fees anywhere?
