I want to work on an 2023 tax return but it’s on another computer at my home.  How can I transfer it to my work computer in ProSeries format?

Of course I have it already in pdf but I don’t know if I can drop and drag a pdf into a ProSeries client file.  Anybody know this one?  Please?

You cannot drag a pdf return into the program to re-populate it but you can restore the actual backup file.  File > Client File Maintenance > Restore > Naviagate to flash drive on new computer to where the backup is located.

I agree with Jim, the easiest way is using Client File Maintenance and the Backup/Restore option.

Take the data file XXXX1111.23i from the old computer and drop or copy it into the client file directory on your new computer.. Then update homebase/homebase maintenance and you should be good to go

You don’t need to use Backup/Restore. Copy/Paste works just fine.
