Transferring 2024 data files from Win 10 to Win 11 data files on new computer. Doesn't work. How?

I have 2024 data files on flash drive. I have opened the 2025 program on a new Win 11 computer.

I selected Restore under Client File Maintenance.

Selected the Source Directory as the Lexar flash 2024 Data file.

Under Type, selected All Tax Returns.

But no files appears in the Select All Box (Select All and other buttons are not lit up)

So I cannot send them to the Target 2025 data folder and Restore!!

look at the contents of the flashdrive, are they in a subfolder maybe so the program doesnt see them in the root directory?

Yes Lisa. 1/3 of the drive is with EXM files. Should I delete them? Thank you..

Did you COPY the files to the thumbdrive or use a BACKUP function to place them there. How to get them back to a hard drive would probably have different instructions depending on how you moved them to the thumbdrive in the first place.

To Trasnfer 2024 files to 2025, use File > Transfer Menu.

Restore under Client File Maintenance works for same year data files.
