Oops, hold on a second. That's what I used to get excited about as a kid. Now I get excited to see how much more I get to pay for ProSeries in the fall. Looks like another 6% is being added for the new year. I guess the increase is necessary to keep Jim happy every time he checks the current stock price. Looks like I will just have to cut out sending my annual Fireball gift basket to all of the Champs this year to help make ends meet 😜

Yea it looks like it went up 2 or 3 hundred bucks, so I have to prepare one more 1040 return to make up for the increase.

The lutefisk dinner is still on for the AllStars, I was just cutting back on my Fireball purchases. It's gotten a lot more expensive ever since Mr Fireball retired and has driven up demand.

I think many of the tax prep software companies do this every year at this time. We just finished tax season and we are still busy, so I do not think many tax preparers are thinking about that at this time.

If you use Intuit, you have to be thinking about it because they send out the renewal before rigor mortis sets in on the past tax season. This is the time of year where all of the complainers come out and say they are tired of the increases and are going to go with another software next year ----------------------- and then you see those folks posting questions when the new tax season rolls around. It's like going to the theater to watch to see who is going to be nominated next year for the best performance in a drama 😄

I think I am retiring after next tax season so I am not going to waste my time getting upset about another price increase. Hopefully, they will use the extra money to produce Form 5227, and then not release it until April 1st.
