Question

Taxpayer with income sourced from US Territory and a State

I have a client who has been living in Guam for over 10 years and receives income from both Guam and CA. He has payroll income in both Guam and California and rental income in Guam. Would you give me any advice to report this income?

You will probably have to file a nonresident for CA. Here is a link to see if you need to file federal, and or territories/possessions. https://www.irs.gov/individuals/international-taxpayers/individuals-living-or-working-in-us-possessions.
