I have a new client out of Massachusetts. I completed the federal return and completed the Resident Massachusetts state return. My clients has gross W-2 income of $363,454. Massachusetts only uses gross W2 income as they do not allow for 401K contributions. However the State form with in my ProSeries reflects on the Massachusetts form that they are calculating total W2 income of $559,214.

I reviewed all of my W2 entries and I don't know where Massachusetts pulled another $195,760 on top of the $363,454. Must be for the Kennedy family since they own Massachusetts.

Help!!!!!!!!

check that you did not key the 401K amount as $196K instead of $19K
