Standard deduction question

Hello,

I have a couple, no kids or credits, that should take the standard deduction. The software generates a standard deduction of $27,300 but all documents from IRS I have seen show the deduction should be $25,900

Any insight into the difference?

Good point and thank you.

One taxpayer is over 65 therefore a different standard deduction table is used. The IRS uses a catch-all phrase about "most" taxpayers will see the normal standard deduction.
