    I rarely trust a P&L for this, I ask to see the W3/W2s to make sure it matches, too many times I see net payroll as Wages on a P&L

      I would request copies of the w3, 941, 940 and twc.  A lot of times if accounts aren't set up correctly you aren't seeing gross wages only.
