Hi all,

Thanks in advance for your help.  Does ProSeries Professional have a way for me to generate a report of all clients that had 2023 capital loss carryovers?

Best,

Trina

Try adding a column heading to the 1040 Home Base to include the one called "Carryover - Capital Loss."

Then sort it as you wish.

You can run a query to search for clients with stock sales but I think you are out of luck coming up with a list of clients with carryovers.

Thank you.  I tried that and the result was "0 clients with capital gains or losses".  I must have done something wrong.  What are the steps?

Open up the query, find "has capital gains or loss", and hit go next to the line.  I just tried it for the heck of it and it worked for me.  If it didn't work for you, you might want to try rebooting your computer.

Yes!  That is the solution I was looking for.  And now I see how many other columns I can use to analyze client data as well.  Thank you!!!
