Removing rejected extensions

1120S federal extension gets its own line in the e-file homebase, separate from the federal tax return itself. I had a few that were rejected and we mailed paper extensions. How can I remove this rejected extension from my e-file homebase? The tax return has since been e-filed successfully. I've tried unmarking the extension for efile and deleting the 7004 altogether, but it's still there.

I think if you open the return and uncheck the Efile box for the extension, it will take it out of the EFcenter.

I have the same issue on 1040 returns.  Extension rejected, mailed paper copy.  Return E-filed & accepted and rejection still shows up.  Pro Series needs to add a feature to clear it as I hate seeing them on my dashboard as I use it for a check on work I still need to do and have several Filed returns with the extension rejection still showing up.  I have un-checked the E-file for extensions and it won't change the display.

I would just leave it there just in case someone ever inquires as to why the extensions were not e-filed.

@PATAX has the solution....   fugetaboutit.    You can't get rid of them...  but they don't hurt or affect anything.

If at first you don’t succeed…..find a workaround
