QMID - Proseries will not accept manufacturer provided QMID

Proseries will not accept the QMID provided to my client by the manufacturer. The input field in red when I enter the QMID provided. When I right click on the field, it says the alphanumeric QMID needs to be letter, number, letter, number but the QMID I have been provided is 58X7. Again, this QMID came directly from 

the manufacturer. How can I get around this? Am I stuck paper filing? I have updated Proseries and it didn't "fix" this particular entry field so I can enter the QMID I have.

It seems more a Proseries thing than an IRS thing.

HELP!
