PTIN renewal - 2023

    Not exactly- you now have a 10 minute window to enter a verification number sent by email now, and unfortunately my email lag from the IRS is 12 minutes! I had to wait for 25 minutes for the IRS PTIN support to move my email to my gmail from my firm email to allow me to get quicker. GRRR Why could the IRS made this at least 15 minutes for used cell phones? Crazy.

      Paper file option still exists for those that don't want to put up with nonsense like that.

        What's a PTIN?  Do I really need it or can I just pick some random numbers to put in that box?  I just want to e-file for myself and 500 or so friends. 😜
