ProSeries Form 990 infomation worksheet Part III when 501(c)(3) is Not incorporated
I have a 501(c)3 organization that is NOT a corporation but I can't get it to fill in the 990 pg. 1 Item I and Item K correctly which I think Item I should have the 501(c)(3) box checked and Item K the Association box checked.
the Proseries instructions state:
"Note: If you are a 501(c) organization that is an Association (not a Corporation or Trust) such a PTA or Alumni, be sure to check both 501(c) Corporation/Association AND the 501(c) Association checkbook. By checking the 501(c) Assocation checkbox, it will check Form 990 page `, Item K Association checkbox."
My problem is that Proseries Won't let you check Both these boxes, only one. if you check the first 501(c) Corporation/Association, it lists "Corporation " on Item K Form 990, and if you check the 501(c) Association box, it doesn't show 501(c)(3) on Item I, it just leaves it blank which doesn't seem correct either.
