Pro Series Professional for 2024 and 2025 do NOT open

On phone with help desk for 3 hours and no resolution! Updated the .NET issue (indicated by repair program), uninstalled and reinstalled the 2024 and 2025 versions and still no help/resolution. It appears that the update that was sent out/installed between 1-22-26 and 1-27-26 caused a crash within the operating system of the PRO Series. Last date of correct operation was 1--22-26 with a Partnership return and the system would NOT start on 1-27-26. Updated and verified current system (HP Envy) with all appropriate available updates for Windows 11, etc. This is a stand alone product and the only suggestion was to contact my IT department. Done and Done. I think the culprit is within the update(s) that occurred on 1-27-26. Please advise!

Eureka!!! I discovered that someone had posted that there was a redistributed C++ version that needed to be installed:" https://   ....  vc_redist.x86.14.40.33816.0.exe" and "https://  ......vc_redist.x64.exe

It was posted on the Intuit website as an answer to the same question. Once they were installed and the PC rebooted, the 2024 and 2025 were able to open.

I finally got a call back from Intuit today.  I'm having the same issue.  Over 2 hours on the phone with Intuit originally.  My IT guy can't figure out why 2024 or 2025 will not launch so Intuit today said to reinstall Windows 11 so let's hope this solves the problem.
