Primary Social Security not matching

Here is the error message.  Where is the  'PrimaryNameControlTxt' located?

 
 

Error Detail:
'PrimarySSN' and 'PrimaryNameControlTxt' in the Return Header must match the e-File database.

The SSN is not matching the persons name on the IRS efile database.  Try to get hold of the social security card ....   If you have a prior year return that was filed you can compare with how you're entering the name.

If at first you don’t succeed…..find a workaround

    I used a prior year return and still error.  He has a permanent resident of AZ number.  Does that mean I should check alien resident?

    does he have multiple middle or last names?  Sometimes IRS has the wrong name as "last".    Seeing an actual SS card generally clears it up.
