Pricing - 2026 Invoice - Fast Path License.

Received my 2026 Renewal Invoice today.

The invoice shows that ProSeries Professional Fast Path went up 50% from 2025.

Is this a misstatement?

We used to call it "AmatureSeries" and now we just refer to it as "SlowSeries"

I just hope they don't bill me until November or December.

yes, we all saw it too, maybe not 50%, but it went up a lot!     500 something to 800 something.

I just looked at the total invoice rather than the breakdown.  I'm going to guess that is their way of saying that they are keeping the percentage cost increases lower on the software, since that isn't part of the software in their eyes.  For those brave souls that left Intuit, I believe they call the fast path fee a ransom fee since the software is pretty much useless for preparing any delinquent returns in the future.

I use , PS Basic, my early renawal price went up by 17.68%. I look at the total invoice also, since one isn't any good without the other.

Check out TaX Act!  Proseries is a ripoff now.

Got my outrageous renewal too. Called customer service. Online pricing much cheaper. Was told for new clients only. So my 20 yr. Usage counts for nothing!

anyone have recommendations for other software?

We usually have Bob and Jim to provide Intuit stock prices (Bob if the stock goes down, Jim if the stock goes up).  But without those two Intuit elves helping out, I had to go look for myself.  Since the stock price is down about 38% from 5 years ago and down 63% from a little less than a year ago, I think Intuit is going to turn a deaf ear to the crying over the price increases.

Thanks all for your thoughts.

Checking Market Watch now, and yes, I do see the Intuit Stock Price tumbling.

On the other hand, Market Watch shows pretty good Net Income growth of 30.58% over the last two reported years for Intuit.

For sure I am not crying about the very high price increase, as much as I want to understand if we can work together, with the company, to mitigate the impact.

Agreed! I also googled how was Intuit doing after my too bad so sad customer service call.

you’re right they could care less and will turn a deaf ear.
