Why does federal return print out with Ohio return when Ohio does not require it?

You must have had the box checked in the print screen to include the federal copy with the state if required.   That box is for if youre paper filing, some states want a copy of the fed included.

ugh!  I misunderstood that... I thought the software program would make that determination.

Thanks!

Im not familiar with OH, but I know in CA, sometimes they want the federal included with paper filing, sometimes they dont, it prints at the top of the front page whether it should be included....its so rare that I have to paper file, I havent really paid attention whether the program accounts for this properly or not, but if youre only EFiling, just uncheck that box, the software will send what ever is required for Efiling.
