NYS has not yet approved their own forms yet

I am considering switching too .. to another provider for next year.  But I have to be honest, I have done a lot of research on this issue RE: NYS has not yet approved their forms for 2025.  It's not just ProSeries, it's on the NYS's end of it.  Yes our provider is on the list of being approved . The one problem we are all having is that ProSeries went from letting you print the NYS forms with the LARGE print stating "DO NOT FILE" to now NOT letting us print anything for the state of NY.   I think they switched this off to cover their rear incase the state of NY changes something such as tax rates etc.. when they open up for efiles.    I know for a FACT that you can submit an extension for 2025 for NYS.. because it went through and approved.  If you do your research you will see all other companies are showing they've been processed but does not show it's been accepted.   And I don't know if we did send them in, IF they'd stay in limbo (or at proseries processing center) or if they would ever reach the state once they do open up.  I haven't found a sucker yet who is willing to chance it.. LOL     I still do condemn INTUIT (ProSeries Prof) for switching from letting us print them with the BIG "DO NOT FILE" to now not allowing us to print  any thing for the state.. they could easily turn that back on IF they wanted to keep us and have return customers.   If they say to them selves, so what is 6-10 days extra for us to not be able to print them....then I would explain that they have financially done us damage where some customers will go elsewhere... PLUS.. if they stay with us..it just means double the work load.  I seriously wonder if we switched NOW would they return a large portion of our money we had to pay up front this past November?

All of my 60 of my 2025 NYS returns have been successfully sent to NYS. Just waiting for them to be accepted by NYS.

Just curious...how is this delay in NYS returns a result of an issue with ProSeries?

I can't even print the NYS EFile authorization forms... how can you EFile NYS returns without clients authorization

I would like to know that answer as well. If you can't get a signature, how is one getting proper authorization to process?

Thanks so much for the feedback. We will give this information to the right department. Our best resource we have is the forms availability page. We understand the frustration around waiting for final forms and appreciate your patience.

Now the program is saying 2/12 is the available date (from 1/31, then 2/5) - what's going on???
