I able to efile my NYS returns to ProSeries and PS is then sending them to NYS but none of them have been accepted yet. Is anyone else having this issue? Usually NYS is about day behind the IRS.

Thanks

Someone else mentioned it. I can't find the post.

The more I know the more I don’t know.

@Kathi_at_Intuit Yes it is. I see that it referred to NYC, though.

The more I know the more I don’t know.

I have been filing other states that proseries has been updated and approved for.  BUT NYS is not approved until 01/30/26... so unfortunately I am holding on efiling all the returns I have already completed until then.... only 2 days away.     So your sure yours went through?   The only thing I did was file 2 extensions prior to knowing that NYS wasn't ready yet  and now waiting to see if PROSERIES pushes those through and then receive a  confirmation on them.  Lets hope Proseries is holding them and will hit their button to process anything that was done ahead of the 01/30/26 date.

I've got a NY showing sent to state since Tues - I'm not worried about it. I've seen NY take several days for the accept to show up. It is usually a day or two after federal acceptance. I know NY will not accept until the federal is accepted.

Hi @BIGPETE Thanks for stopping by the Community and for posting about NYS not being accepted. The best place to look for delayed acknowledgements is this support article as it shows currently delayed acknowledgements and is updated frequently:

How to check for delayed e-file acknowledgements

Also, sharing a little more about delays:

Returns are not officially delayed until they exceed the maximum processing time as defined by:

  • Federal return acknowledgements are usually available within one to three business days.
  • State return acknowledgements are usually available within two to five business days.

We recommend bookmarking the page using Ctrl+D to quickly reference it in the future.

Hi @sjrcpa Thanks for letting us know that it was the right one. Even though it is NYC, it still would have helped because the article lists anything that is delayed. 🙂
