NM RPD 41272 State Error
When attaching the above listed form to the state of NM return, if there is a refund due to the taxpayer, we get an error and cannot e-file. If there is tax due it's still kind of convoluted but we've been able to push it through for E-Filing after some headaches. This form's issue(s) has drug on for years already, and we are sick and tired of having to make people file paper or have the department calculate the penalty in order to get it E-Filed. Those are basically the only options to file a state of NM return that has an underpayment penalty if the taxpayer has a refund. This should not be the case, and I believe is a software problem. Can you guys PLEASE fix this, it's not a new problem.
