I hearing from other proseries users that the EFT works ( NJ)  for the first quarter but not on 2,3,and 4th quarters even then all 4 quarters were scheduled for BANK withdrawal.  I let me client know to keep on eye on the bank withdrawals.

is this true?

Sadly, you are correct.   This is the first (and last) year I will be filing using the automatic EFT ES payments for NJ (and NY).   You file the federal, NJ, and first quarter NJ ES normally,  Once accepted, you then have to go back and efile the  2nd qtr... then the 3rd, then the 4th....  PITA.

I just filed a 2nd qtr NJ ES to see what will happen... it's clearly marked w/ withdrawal date 6/15...  not sure why both state do it that way but (for now) I'll give INTU  the benefit of the doubt that it's a state e-filing requirement....   but I could be wrong...

The only reason I can think of for this would be that it leaves an option NOT to file a future quarter if it's not going to be necessary....

If at first you don’t succeed…..find a workaround

Susan, is it allowable to file each ES quarter in sequence without waiting until we’re past the withdrawal date of the prior quarter?
