My last year's state didn't transfer over

I have a new computer this year.  I saved last year's files on that computer, but also backed up on a disc,  I was able to transfer the files onto this computer for 2023 and 2024 from the disc.  When I do 2024, and I click on State, it asks if I want to transfer state files from last year.  I hit transfer and a window pops up to copy it from.  I access proseries, 2023, and pick the clients file, but it says there is no NY file there.  Yet, if I open 2023, I can see the state file.  I also tried putting cd disc in, selecting that drive and picking that client, but same error comes up.  What am I doing wrong?  This never was an issue on my old computer which I had for about 5 years.   Most clients wont be an issue, but some have credits that need to carryover from last year.  Help!

Check to see if you downloaded the NYS tax product to your 2024 PS
