I tried checking and unchecking other boxes in box 3 and still get the error. I don't want to unlink to schedule C though the tax accountant last year just put in the amount as additional income on schedule 1.

Quicken does not like that and warns about electronic filing issues. Please put any workaround options out there.

I updated my installed product and that cleared the error and I was then able to e-file.

I tried updating the software several time and the bug persists. I am going to try a suggestion from one of these threads to use a 1099 NEC in place of a 1099-MISC.
