missouri 1040 not calculating losses
Does anyone else have a problem with the federal Farm losses not carrying over to Missouri 1040 if there was no other income. I have a couple filing MFJ and the spouse has the farm which has a loss. The spouse has no other income. On the Missouri form the spouse's income is zero not the actual loss. The calculations work if there is other income but won't go below zero.
I do not think Missouri has changed their tax law on this.
This seems to be the problem with any loss. The federal worksheet shows the losses, but it does not carry to the front of the tax return.
