Maryland Form 500DM - how is "Other Changes" calculated (Part C line 8)
We have a handful of clients who have MD K-1s that report an addition or subtraction but who wind up with a change to the addition or subtraction on the 500DM.
When we enter the addition or subtraction from the K-1 (on the Activity WKS) it goes to the 500DM Part C line 9. ProSeries is generating something on line 8 of Part C that results in an additional addition or subtraction. I can’t figure out how ProSeries is calculating the number on line 8--there’s no cross reference. I’ve read the form instructions and that isn’t helpful either--basically that it’s from MD decoupling from various federal laws. Can anyone tell me how ProSeries is calculating this?
