Question
marketplace insurance policy sharing, adult children not claimed as a dependent.
I have a tax client who shared a marketplace insurance policy with his daughter who is not claimed as a dependent on his tax return.
She is filing on her own. I am trying to input her return but getting rejections because there is a missing 1095-A.
I have the completed the form on her return changing the ‘owner’ name and social security to the parent.- also noted on sect III that it is ‘shared’ with the parents info listed. It carried over to form 8962.
I continue to get a rejection. If it makes a difference I did not on the parents return filied in Febuary noted that this daughter was sharing.
Finally how do I fix this? File by paper. Thanks to all!!
