Hi,

I have some new clients from Ohio and Alabama. Their W2s show seperate tax for cities like Auburn, AL. Do i have to file separate city tax?

Also for Ohio clients , some are living in dayton, montgomery and stark counties however they are working in different counties like Akron, Canton, Miami and tax taken in their  w2s as well. How do i fix this?

In Pennsylvania I do need to file a separate local tax return with a different agency.  ProSeries provides a Local Earned Income Tax Return form that is generic but absolutely does the job.

If my client lives in one city / town but works in another, I apply a credit for the local earned income tax deducted on their W2.  It's never been an issue, but again, that's Pennsylvania, not Ohio.  Maybe see if you can apply a credit for taxes deducted for a different jurisdiction.
