Just thought I would throw that out there for an easy reference to this year's individual e-filing start date. That question has to be popping up pretty regularly by now.

Oh, and as a side note, Intuit does not start transmitting returns at 12:00:01 on that day.

I would volunteer to run the counter, but I never repaired the hinge flusher valve after it broke last tax season.

You were just lucky that the valve was pretty inexpensive. The hard part was finding a qualified person to fix it. Thankfully we found a barber to take care of it for us.

Technically 11 Ladies Jan.15 is just for business returns like partnerships and S-corp. And I don't think either will be released to e-file by that date and the states also have to be ready. So the best that can happen is if you have last years non-profits or fiscal year corps to file next Wed.
