Question

Is anyone able to print off NYS IT-201 even though it says on the print preview filing copy "not final"?

I'm using the "Professional" version.  I can see the copy of the IT-201 in print preview but the box to click print is not highlighted so that I can print it off.  Intuit said ready to print on 1/31, then moved it to 2/5 and now it's not ready to print until 2/12.  How can this return be e-filed without having the client be able to sign the E-file signature form?

Intuit says "form not final" so I can't print it off but then you can e-file NYS with no error messages?  Doesn't seem like you should be able to e-file a NYS IT-201 if you can't print it off for signature.

The client is supposed to be able to review the return before they sign anything allowing the return to be e-filed.  So unless you have them looking at each page of the return on your computer screen, it's kinda tough to do.

It just makes no sense that Intuit allows NYS to be e-filed but you can't print the NYS e-file authorization form for taxpayer to sign.  I can do a print preview but can't print off the NYS return because it's "not final" but yet you can e-file NYS?

How much work would it be to print out the signature form from the NYS website fill it in by hand, just so you can get it EFiled and out of your queue?  I know its still a hassle because you have to eventually go back and print/PDF it, but it would get it filed.....just looking for a workaround!

Thanks so much for the feedback. We will give this information to the right department. Our best resource we have is the forms availability page. We understand the frustration around waiting for final forms and appreciate your patience. I can assure you this is being worked on to be release as soon as possible.
