can anyone tell me how do I get W2/1099s for a deceased person?

I have an IRS professional tax account.  Do I upload 8821 signed by the court representative?

You need to complete the Form 56, to establish a fiduciary for the deceased, that fiduciary can sign the 8821 to get transcripts.

Back during Covid, I was allowed to fax the Form 56, death certificate and court papers assigning a representative along with the 8821 and got transcripts over the phone with PPS, but I think generally, the Form 56 needs to be mailed in.  They made an exception due to Covid and the lack of humans at IRS opening mail.
