Iowa individual 3rd party authorization not working

I just talked with the state of Iowa and even though both the Y/N box in Part IV - Other Information was checked yes AND the Third Party Disclosure Designee section under Step 9 was completed; the state of Iowa does not show that they can speak with me as an authorized designee.

PLEASE fix this issue BEFORE 2024 tax returns are submitted.

I just spent 40 minutes on the phone with support. Try putting the dashes in your SSN in the Iowa 3rd party designee info section. XXX-XX-XXXX instead of XXXXXXXXX. Incredibly that worked. Who does that these days. I hope this helps.

2/10/25 it is still not accepting a blank (it says optional) or the official 3rd party designee number I just received from Iowa. Is this being addressed?
