Question

Intuit Link

Hello
I’m using ProSeries 2023 and have two Intuit accounts. When I use Intuit Link to invite clients, it automatically sends the invitation to the wrong Intuit account—the one I don’t want to use.

How can I change the Intuit Link settings so that the invitations are associated with the correct account where I have all my clients?

I appreciate any guidance or steps to resolve this issue. Thank you!

Chris

By 2 accounts, do you mean 2 email addresses associated with Intuit?

or do you pay for 2 different licenses and buy 2 different sets of software?

I’m having an issue with my Intuit accounts and ProSeries. I only paid for one license, but I have two Intuit accounts. The first account is very old and was registered under my original company name. The second account is the one I currently use, which has over 1,200 clients. The names of the two accounts are almost identical, but the second account includes “& Services” added to the original name.

I want to make sure everything is linked to the second account that I actively use. Has anyone dealt with this kind of issue before, or does anyone know how to ensure the correct account is associated with my license and services?

Thanks in advance for your help!

You might call tech support. Sound like link is associated with the wrong account. There may be an association in setup… i have a similar situation but just use the same account choice whenever i go into link… doesn’t seem to matter

If at first you don’t succeed…..find a workaround

I have the same issue.  The problem is that I do not know that I have a problem until the client tells me they never received the "Link" information I sent to them.  The email address is the same, so that is not the problem.  So I inactivate one of the accounts when I discover the problem.  I would like to delete the inactive account but I do not see a way to do that.

I will monitor this thread to see is a solution to our problem is available.

Thank you for the input.  I was unaware that you could get a duplication of a client from an invite from the tax program and from Link itself.  Really wish there was a way to delete a client.
