Import New Client's Prior Year Tax Return

I've seen articles about importing new clients' prior year TT returns but I can't find anything about importing a new client's prior year PS tax return.

I have a new client with tons of historical rental properties' fixed assets and depreciation schedules. The pdf copy of the prior year tax return looks like the tax preparer used PS. Has anyone been able to import a prior year pdf copy to a new client's current tax return?

I'm a little suspicious that it may be more trouble and not save time. However, I thought I would check to see if anyone had success importing a prior year return.

Thank you.

A PDF wont suffice, you need the actual PS tax file in order to transfer it into your program.

Populating a return from a pdf of a tax return is not really doable in PS.
