I want to downgrade from Proseries PPR to Proseries Basic 20.

I am mostly retired and only have a few returns to prepare. Proseries Professional PPR is more than I need, so I want to switch to Basic 20.  On my account it looks like I only have the option to renew Proseries Professional.  Do I have to call a sales person to downgrade, or can I do this online, and if I can do it online, how?

Thank you - I called them today and that is correct - Basic 20 is only available to new customers.  Current customers can only get Basic 50, which is actually more expensive than Proseries Professional Pay-per-return for 10 or fewer customers.  So, I'll be looking into Tax Act and other programs. They'd rather lose a long-time (25 years) customer and get nothing than allow me to switch to a more affordable program.  That's Intuit for ya.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I have stuck in my head that Basic 20 is only allowed for new customers.  *IF* that is the case, you may be stuck with Basic 50 (or some other software;  the last I checked, Tax Act Professional offered good packages for small businesses and it has very similar data-entry to ProSeries).

I am in the same position in that I am "semi retired" and only doing a few returns for family or older clients. I was pleased to see there was a program for 20 returns and I hoped to purchase the 20 returns from ProSeries because the program is so familiar.  It is very disappointing.  Even more disappointing in that there is no posted information stating that the 20 return program advertised for sale is not available to preparers who have been reliable purchasers for a number of years.
