Question

I have a client whose name is very long and there is no space for the entire name and the tax is rejected. How can I make the name smaller?

The last name is too long?   IRS only cross matches the first 4 letters of the last name with the SSN, so just chop off the ending of the name to make it fit.

    Along as you shorten it on the end of the name instead of the beginning you should be fine.
