Question

I am amending a return I didn't originally file, but I cannot elect direct deposit for refund. Is there a reason for this?

Amended return doesn't allow direct deposit for any return.

    I did see something recently (in the past 6+ months) that IRS would be allowing direct deposit for amended return refunds, but so far we havent been given that capability...maybe in the next year or so, that will be added to the 1040X form, but so far, Im not seeing it.
