How to address PTC ineligibility for certain months in Proseries. Also an HSA question
I have a client who had Marketplace Coverage and received Advance PTC every month of 2024. She got a job, became eligible for and received health insurance coverage through work in November and December but continued to receive the marketplace coverage and Adv. PTC in Nov and Dec as well. So she needs to repay the credit for those months.
How do I make Proseries calculate that? Do I just change the SLCSP column on 1095A worksheet for Nov and Dec to 0.01 (it won't take 0 as an entry)?
Second, issue for the same client. Her employer for Nov and Dec made contribution to an HSA of $300. But since she had marketplace coverage for those months in addition to her high deductible plan at work, if her marketplace coverage wasn't a high deductible plan as well, she is ineligible for the HSA contribution, correct?
