How does ProsSeries Basic calculate the health insurance deduction when linking a 1095-A to the Schedule C?

Does ProSeries Basic consider the monthly out of pocket premium cost (the difference between column A and column C of the 1095-A) during the health insurance deduction calculation after linking the 1095-A to the schedule C.  Or do you still manually enter this amount on line 15 of the Schedule C.  For example if the total amount of Line A minus Line C = 1000.  Do you enter 1000 on line 15 of the Schedule C?

It does it automatically, so don't manually enter any numbers (well, in most cases).

It does the back-and-forth Iterative Calculation to determine the Premium Tax Credit and the Self-Employed Health Insurance deduction, then automatically puts the proper amounts where they belong.

Sometimes the Iterative Calculation doesn't work out nicely and there is an odd amount left over (you'll see ProSeries put it onto Schedule A medical expenses).  If that happens, you can sometimes do a little manual jiggling to get a better, more accurate result.

As Bill said it is automatic in the program, but to check it you would deduct any PTC from form 8962 from collumn A on the 1095A. Note the software has a circular calcullation where it adjusts AGI acording to the PTC, so it is best handeled by the software, but you can see approximately what it should be
