Since its not really an "income tax" form, you're just allowed to submit it along with your tax return, I dont think you'll see Intuit add any paragraph for it, at least not anytime soon.

You can edit the letter to add what you'd like though.

from what I can find it will just be submitted with the tax return and I don't think it is going to be on the client letter.

I disagree with both responses already posted.  Intuit should put in a paragraph (FEDERAL CODE)  that ONLY applies to the clients who have this form 4547.  The paragraph should state that the form was filed for the client and they should be aware that at some point they will get a email or some notification with further instructions on the account setup.  If you amend your general letter all clients will get the notification and lots of headaches will be coming your way!

let's get all the forms final and working before we worry about a paragraph in the client letter - I will speak to the clients about Form 4547 directly and I'm not mess with the client letter.

I don't know, did I miss some kind of intense tax preparer training where we aren't allowed to communicate to our clients other than a cover letter on a tax return?  In this day and age where texting, e-mailing, phoning, face timing, zoom meetings, faxing, and just plain face to face talking is available can't we find some way to let the client know that the form is there other than client letter?
