How do I get to a state return in ProSeries Basic 2024?

This is my first year using ProSeries Basic. I'm used to ProSeries Pro. I'm working on a 1040 in Basic and now need to get to the Virginia return. I don't see any button or link to do that (Pro had a "ST" button in the toolbar. I can see by going to "Updates/Select and Download New Products" that all of my states are installed, but how do I get to them?

The issue seems to be something between ProSeries Basic and my computer. None of the left menu appears, so there is no state tax button to select. After over 2 hours on the phone with Intuit Customer Service, I still have no resolution. The people helping me were very nice, but they couldn't figure out what was going on.

The left-side tabs.

It starts with general info, then income, deductions, etc. Then eventually State.

Hi Paula, have you tried this? Look at the Solutions: "Why is the forms bar or Open Forms windows blank or showing out of order."
