Question

How do I enter qualified overtime from box 14 of the W2 on Schedule 1A. It doesn't allow entries

IRS has companies reporting qualified overtime and qualified tips in Box 14 of the W2.  1A does not allow manual entries so there is no way to report these items for the deduction.  Anyone else have this issue?

OK after contacting proseries and speaking to an extremely helpful person who researched for a while she got the answer.  The entries for the deductions are done on the W2 in Part III for Tips, and Part VII for overtime reporting.  Hope this helps others. I wish that this info would have been included in the Help section.

Me again.  I apologize, if you scroll down far enough on the W2 help there is information on how and where to make those entries.

"IRS has companies reporting qualified overtime and qualified tips in Box 14 of the W2."

That's not really the case for 2025's W-2s.   For this "transition year", employers are allowed to compute a reasonable amount (for OT, & for Tips) and to report it in any way they choose.   I am interested in seeing what the options are used by the various payroll services, especially small/local ones.
