    Social security is taxable the same as it always has been, there's no temporary deduction.

    If the client qualifies for the $6000 deduction for people 65 and older, the software will apply that automatically.

    That is an excellent question but it seems that only our president knows how to get that deduction.  The rest of us are stuck with a potential $6,000 deduction if we are at least 65 years old.
